The Kemper Academy Rams season came to an end on Friday, after two very tough losses to Benton Academy.

Benton hosted Game one, and won 16-4. The Rams were able to record five hits in the 5 innings played. Things were not looking too bad to start when the Rams were playing close with Benton early but in the second inning Benton scored seven runs to put a damper on the Rams.

The Rams pitched four different players starting with Cooper Thornton and then going to Landon Dixon, Eli Weaver, and Blake Hutcherson in relief. The group gave up eight hits and nine walks, while striking out five. Friday was a nightmare for the Rams hosting game two as they dropped a 19-0 decision in five innings against the Raiders, ending their season.

Benton was up 7-0 until the fifth where the visitors scored 12 runs. The Rams were only able to record one hit, courtesy of Kix Wilson. Zane Knight started the game with the same three relievers coming in. The group struck out three, while giving up nine hits and11 walks.

The Rams season may not have ended the way they wanted, but this young team has endless potential.
