Local parades scheduled

The Christmas celebration season gets underway Tuesday, Nov. 30 when the Scooba Christmas Parade gets underway at 6 p.m. Kayla Moore will be the Grand Marshall.
The DeKalb Christmas Parade takes place on Thursday, Dec. 9 with the Third Annual Tree Lighting event taking place at Keyes-McRae Parkin downtown DeKalb at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11.
