There is an old saying "can't catch a break,” but the Kemper Academy Lady Rams are still trying to get past their long break.

The Lady Rams continue to fight the weather this week, as the rescheduled games against Hebron Christian were post- poned due to the rain once again. “It has been an obstacle, but we pushed through,” Coach Savannah Cawthorn says.

The Lady Rams have made the most of their short hiatus, as Cawthorn says fielding practice has been held in the gym this week. “It has been hard hon- estly,” Cawthorn says, “We had to take a couple days off for the football team to prac- tice.” Cawthorn be- lieves her team is prepared this week heading into the beginning of division play.

“Their heads are strong and they are ready to play,” she said. The Lady Rams are set to travel to Newton Academy today (Thursday) be- fore a two game home stretch facing Calhoun Academy on Tuesday and Sylva Bay next Thursday. The Rams were scheduled to host Newton this Monday.
