KCHS Track Champions honored

Before the huge homecoming win to open district play for the Kemper County Wildcats football team, a ring ceremony was held in honor of the Lady Wildcats track team, who won the 4x200 relay State Championship last spring.

 

The team consisted of Brynesha Bourrage, Kalyan Clayton, Jashunti Bourrage, and Zariyah Moss and was coached by Keith Cole, The team finished with a time of 1:48.01. Winning the schools first state championship in track.

 

Cole said that to him it was just a blessing, but to the girls it gives them an opportunity to change their lives. Cole was proud of all the hard work his team put in throughout the year, for it all to end with a championship. “It shines a light on Kemper County,” Cole said. “Not just for football, not just for basketball, but for track.”
