KCHS relay teams fare well last week
The Kemper County High School track team had another strong showing against bigger schools last week, when they traveled to Hattiesburg to take part in a mid-week meet.
The girls team came away with a trio of first place finishes.
Brynesha Bourrage, who is a Hinds Community College signee, took first place in the 400 meters, while the girls 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams also won Gold.
The 4x200 team, which won the 2A state championship last year, is made up of Zariyah Moss, Bourrage, Kaylan Clayton, and Jashunti Bourrage. Running the 4x400 relay were both Bourrages, Precious Stone and Moss.
Thus week the KCHS track squad traveled to Columbus High School to take part in the Golden Triangle Showdown on Tuesday. This coming Tuesday they will travel to Velma Jackson.
