EMCC students named to All MS Academic Team
Two students from East Mississippi Community College’s Scooba campus and two the college’s Golden Triangle campus were named to the Phi Theta Kappa 2022 All-Mississippi Academic Team.
Nominations are based on academic performance and service to the college and community. Team members from the Scooba campus are Morgan Moody of Hanford, California, and Kayla Nelson of Macon. Students from the Golden Triangle campus are Laura MacLellan of Columbus and Lindsey Younger of Steens.
The highest scoring nominee from each of the state’s 15 two-year colleges is named to the All-Mississippi First Team. Nelson, a 2022 Coca-Cola Academic Team Bronze Scholar, was named a member of the First Team. MacLellan, Moody and Younger were named to the Second Team. The students will receive medallions and certificates.
