EMCC offering short-term winter classes
East Mississippi Community College will be offering short-term classes during the 2022 Winter Term for students who want to pick up additional credits.
Enrollment for the online winter-break classes is open to current EMCC students, students from other colleges and universities, dual enrollment students, high school graduates and working professionals.
Eleven traditional online classes will be available through EMCC’s eLearning Department beginning Dec. 20 and running through Jan. 7.
Comp I and Comp II are being offered as synchronous classes and will require online work and a weekly virtual class meeting via Zoom. Those two classes begin Dec. 13 and finish up Jan. 6.
“This is a great opportunity for those who are behind a class to get caught back up quickly,” EMCC Dean of Instruction for the Golden Triangle campus Dr. Michael Busby said.
“Taking accelerated online courses over the winter term is an excellent way for students to fulfill requirements, earn extra credit hours before the spring semester, progress in their studies or stay on track for graduation," Dean of eLearning Coranette “Chris” Square said.
Current students can register online or find out who their advisor is through their LEO account. Students are asked to contact their advisor by email if they need assistance with registering.
New students can apply online at www.eastms.edu. Click on the “Prospective Students” tab. An advisor will contact newly admitted students. General inquiries about advising can be sent via email to advising@eastms.edu. The list of winter term classes is also available here:
