AT&T Pioneers Provide Hug-a-Bears to VFDs
In life everyone faces traumatic experiences that can have devastating effects, much more so for children, events such as automobile accidents, house fires, and severe weather. It has been determined that in those times many children just need something to hold on to, to ease that distress. To that end the AT&T Pioneers recently provided two Hug-a-Bears to each of the twelve Kemper County Volunteer Fire Departments, to be given to children in these situations.
The AT&T Pioneers are retired employees of AT&T, including BellSouth and South Central Bell. Kyla Moore, a member of the East Central Pioneers Club stated that the Hug-a-Bears and throws have been donated in several counties in the Meridian area, to law enforcement agencies and ambulance services, as well as fire departments.
The AT&T Pioneers fund this very valuable service through sales of the Bell's Best Cookbooks, at different venues including Canton Day.
