Tyler Sullivan Smith named to top Christian leaders in state

Tyler Sullivan Smith of Meridian was recently named one of 24 Christian Leaders of the Future by Mississippi Christian Living Magazine. A reception was held in honor of the nominees on the campus of Belhaven college March 3.

Tyler is a senior at Northeast High School in Meridian where he serves as President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Tyler is active in football and has just received the Brandon Burlsworth National Award for character on the football field.

He is also active in track and cross country where he was a part of the 2019 State Championship Team.



Tyler surrendered to preach at Northcrest Baptist Church in Meridian in February. He is the great-grandson of Rev. & Mrs. Auzie Sullivan formerly of Louisville.

Rev. Sullivan pastored several churches in the area. He is also the great-grandson of Nelson and Esther Smith of Dekalb, the grandson of Robert Smith and Mary Margaret "M"of Dekalb, and the son of Rob and Lori Smith of Meridian
