Supervisors discuss possible plans for Kemper Lake

The Kemper County board of supervisors had a busy meeting October 5 meeting.

Representatives from the Department of Wildlife, Parks and Fisheries and the Tombigbee River Valley Waterways Management District talked with supervisors about possible plans for Kemper Lake. No actions were taken at this time.

Supervisors received the meal loge for the Kemper-Neshoba Regional Jail. Supervisors also received the expenses incurred by the sheriff department in September 2020.

Supervisors considered the first quarter appropriation for the sheriff’s department.

Supervisors considered the third amendment to the Correctional Communication Service and reviewed and reviewed an agreement with City Tel-Coin Co.

Supervisors considered an order approving the first quarter appropriation for the tax assessor’s office. They reviewed a salary increase for Amber Holiday as provided in Section 27-1-51 of the Mississippi Code.

Supervisors considered an order for the Chancery Clerk to expend one mill from for Fiscal Year 2018-2019;

Supervisors also considered a renewal agreement for computer services for maintenance and operations of the High Availability Project.
