Speaker says being present and having presence important

Posted

It was a night to remember! The speaker was Mr. Tony Yarber and he believed that Kemper Middle School (with the Kemper County Schools’ District) was an amazing place for parents and kids to be that night! This was stated by Christian Doss (a Kemper County Middle School eighth grade student who attended that night). The teachers and parents in attendance demonstrated this by show of applause as Mr. Yarber delivered an engaging speech about education.

Mr. Yarber challenged teachers, parents, and students to be present and be a presence concerning student achievement, education, and choices that affect the lives of students Mr. Yarber complemented the Kemper Middle School administration, parents, and teachers with their fight to make a difference pushing toward student achievement in the Kemper County Schools’ District. He gave examples on how to continue in doing so by presenting a caring speech about education and student achievement.

It was my pleasure to join others to witness Mr. Yarber cheer on the efforts of the Kemper County Schools’ District plight to encourage parental and student involvement in education. With these efforts and future activities, hopefully administration, teachers, parents, and students can unite in the fight to push toward positive choices for students to receive a quality education with the Kemper County Schools’ System.
