Relay For Life Set for June 4
Come one, come all — wear your hat!
Relay for Life Night wil be Saturday June 4 from 5-8 p.m. at the Keys/McRae Park in DeKalb.
The theme this year centers around “Racing for a Cure”, and this being the season for the Kentucky Derby, The Preakness, and The Belmont Stakes, we want to carry out the idea of the “fancy hats,” so we’re asking that everyone come dressed in your “racing” hat.
There will be a parade of hats to show off our efforts in supporting Relay for Life.
The program for the night will include: welcomes, songs, readings, recognitions of survivors, walks, balloon release, and our luminary ceremony.
There is still time to purchase a luminary to honor/celebrate a loved one. The form can be found on page 3 in this week’s Messenger, or you may purchase them the night of the relay, but this must be done early.
There will be food and drinks for sale. You are encouraged to bring a chair and not to forget to wear your hat.
If you haven’t made your contribution to this effort, there will be a donation box on site.
