MR WALDO MITCHELL

Services were held for Mr. Waldo Mitchell on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. from Clarks Chapel United Methodist Church in Kemper County with burial in the church cemetery.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Mitchell, 88, died Thursday, November 26, 2020.

A native of Kemper County, he was a longtime Meridian resident.  He was retired founder and manager of Lauderdale County Federal Credit Union, now known as First Mississippi Federal Credit Union.  Mr. Mitchell was a member of Clarks Chapel United Methodist Church.  He served in the U. S. Army.  

Survivors include wife, Reba Mitchell; children, Bruce Mitchell, Greg Mitchell, Julie Mitchell Peden; three grandchildren; and sister, Hallaine May.

Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie Vick Mitchell; parents, Clark and Paula Mitchell; siblings, R. C. Mitchell, Willie Jim Mitchell, and Barbara Janell Mitchell
