Kemper County School District (KCSD) will celebrate Kemper County High School’s graduating class of 2021 during in-person graduation ceremonies at East Mississippi Community College Football Stadium Friday starting at 7 p.m.

The district has partnered with EMCC to provide the 61 graduating seniors with the ability to celebrate in person.

COVID-19 safety guidelines, mask wearing and social distancing measures will be in place for the ceremonies and no tickets are needed for entry at the EMCC Stadium.

In the event of inclement weather, the graduation will be moved indoors to Kemper County High School Gymnasium, whereby tickets for families are limited to 12 per graduate. No ticket exceptions will be made.

“We are excited to honor and celebrate with our graduating seniors because there is no doubt that the Class of 2021 has a successful future ahead of them,” said Jacqueline Jackson, assistant principal at Kemper County. “Each student has demonstrated that they are resilient as they have continuously endured unanticipated changes to their high school experience in the midst of a global pandemic.

“What is so amazing is their ability to remain committed to their academic goals while adjusting to different learning models, including distance learning, hybrid models, and in-person instruction. This year’s graduation ceremony will be extra special for all families, teachers, and staff as we are so proud to see each graduate receive their diploma.”
