Kemper County graduates receive diplomas

Members of the Kemper County High School Class of 2020 received their diplomas last week during a different program format as compared to years past.
The Coronavirus Pandemic made it impossible for the students to march into the school gym, packed with friends and family for this most special occasion. Instead, students came to the gym earlier in the week and walked through the line in groups of six or seven. Everyone was videoed receiving their diploma. Then on Friday night, the video was shown on Facebook. It gave the impression that all had had graduated together, as they truly did.
Shakirah Steele was the class valedictorian while Timberlee Drummond was the class salutatorian,
