Kemper Academy Rams eye week off

This week the Kemper Academy football played played host to Newton Academy, dropping a 52-16 setback.

 

Coach Michael Dawkins did say that there was no quit in any of his players. He stated that his players have huge hearts for the game.

 

In the game, quarterback Eli Weaver threw for 194 yards including two touchdowns. Both of those touchdowns and 106 of those yards were caught by Colton Kynerd. The pair of Thomas Mattox and Eli Miles both had four tackles, while Miles rushed for 40 yards and Mattox rushed for 41.

 

Brody Barefield made four tackles and Nick Dawkins had three tackles.

 

Next week the Rams have an open date before traveling to Bogalusa, La. to face Bens Ford on Oct. 15.
