KCHS baseball drops pair

The Kemper County High School baseball team lost a pair of district base­ball games to a strong Choctaw County team last week.

The Wildcats fell to the Chargers 17-2 in the first game and 17-0 in the sec­ond one.

Kemper County jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the opener, only to have CCHS take the lead with a three-run first. The Charg­ers then added 11 in the second and three in the third to win by the run-rule.

B.J. Jackson smacked a double for the Wildcats, while Kaleb Jackson, Di­cenzo Miller, Jakylan Bour­rage, Ricky Little, and Izaiah Bourrage each had singles.

Miller stole a base for KCHS, while Jakylan Bour­rage had an RBI.

The Chargers scored 17 runs in the bottom of the first inning to take the shutout win in the night­cap.

Kaleb Ball, Kendetryon Backstrom, and Miller had hits for KCHS in the sec­ond game.

The Kemper County baseball team was sched­uled to play East Webster this week.
