The Kemper Academy Rams will try to get back on the winning Friday night when they visit Columbus Christian in eight-man football.

The Rams fell to 1-2 on the season last Friday when they dropped a 52-22 decision to Collegiate Christian.

“They had a lot of speed,” Coach Michael Dawkins said. “They had two good receivers and were hard to cover. We made some mistakes but over kids never gave up.”

Quarterback Eli Weaver threw for two touchdowns and ran for another. He ran for 43 yards and passed for 213 yards.

Colton Conner and Eli Miles both had touchdown receptions.  Conner scored on a two point conversion.

Miles led the team in tackles with six while Paxton Darnell, Buddy Barfield and Thomas Mattox all had five tackles.
