John C. Stennis Career and Technical Center was pleased to have David Williams, EMCC Recruiter, and his Career and Technology team from East Mississippi Community College to visit with and introduce students to various Career and Technology programs offered at the Scooba campus.

Instructors and CTE students representing the community college in Scooba came for a visit on Friday, Feb. 25. Brock Rogers, CTE Student Services Coordinator was in charge of setting this day up for our students at CTE. Roshunda Newton is the counselor at CTE and also assisted in the Career Tech day at the vocational complex.

Some of the various career and technical courses offered at the Scooba campus include Welding, Forestry Technology, Business and Marketing Commerce Technology, Ophthalmology Assistant Program, Funeral Services Technology, and others.

We are very appreciative to EMCC and Williams and his staff for assisting us in this important day for our career tech students.

Stennis CTE had over 100 students participating in the career tech day.
