COVID cases rise to 881

The number of cases of COVID-19 in Kemper County has increased by 20 this past week, according to statistics provided by the Mississippi Department of Health website.

Kemper County has 881 reported cases as of Monday, an increase of 20. The county has 22 reported deaths.

The rate of the number of new cases has gone down across the state in recent weeks. According to health department numbers, there were 5,011 new cases in Mississippi in the past week. That is 2,902 fewer new cases when compared to the pervious week. There have been 287,969 cases reported in Mississippi since March 2020, and 6,464 reported deaths, an increase of 122 since last week.
