  1. SINAI PASTOR’S ANNIVERSARY

The Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church of Preston, Mississippi will host its annual Pastor's Anniversary on April 24 during morning service. The guest speaker for the event will be Minister Valiyasa Caldwell of Alabama.

EMCC FOOTBALL GOLF CLASSIC

he East Mississippi Community College football pro­gram will be hosting the Sixth Annual EMCC Football Golf Classic on Friday, April 29, at Lion Hills in Colum­bus. With proceeds going to the Lions’ football pro­gram through the EMCC Development Foundation, the cost of the four-person scramble event will be $250 per team. The cost will cover green/cart fees, driving range accessibility, sandwiches, and a team photo­graph. A shotgun start is scheduled for 1 p.m. For ad­ditional information on the EMCC Football Golf Classic, interested participants should contact EMCC Assistant Football Coach Cade Wilkerson via phone (662-476-8462) or email (dwilkerson@eastms.edu).

COALITION FOR A HEALTHY KEMPER COUNTY

The Coalition for a Healthy Kemper County was or­ganized to provide educational outreach. The goal is to bring educational awareness of health issues and un­healthy lifestyles that accompany diseases such as dia­betes, hypertension, high cholesterol, etc. We solicit the help of area leaders, organizations and individuals working together to make a positive impact on the lives of our community members. EMCC OFFERS TUITION-FREE CODING CLASSES

Mississippi Coding Academies is providing tuition-free classes to students at The Communiversity at East Mississippi Community College. BEAVER CONTROL COST-SHARE PROGRAM

Applications are now being accepted by Kemper County SWCD for the Kemper County Beaver Control Cost-Share Program. The Mississippi Soil and Water Conservation Commission and the Kemper County Board of Supervisors have funded the program to aid non-industrial private landowners in beaver control.
