A Price, A Promise, And A Place (Part 2)

Posted

Many are the promises we stand on as we walk with God on this incredible journey called life. It is His precious promises that assure us of His protection, preservation, provision, and presence. Take a few minutes and join me for a cup of coffee as we consider some of the promises regarding our redemption.
Our testimony of being saved is not predicated on presumption. We have not been mentally manipulated into thinking we are saved. The assurance of our salvation is not based on a Christ-less creed, denominational dogma or religious writings and relics. It is from the Word of the living God ... the promises of God that are sure, sound and certain, that we de-

rive our confidence. PROMISE: Jesus said: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock, if any man will hear my voice and open the door, I will come in unto him and sup with him and he with me”. Notice, Jesus said: If ANY man opens the door. Regardless of how long we’ve been going the wrong way and doing the wrong thing—HE SAID....His promise is.... when we open

the door, He will come in. PROMISE: Jesus said: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life”. “Whosoever” (means however wrong we have been, whatever sins we have committed and wherever those choices have taken us) believeth in Him (believes/trusts in Christ’ atoning work on the cross as the payment for our sin) will not perish (waste away in an eternal place of eternal dying) but have (own, possess, experience) eternal life! \That’s not fake news ... that is Good News!

PROMISE: 2 Corinthians 5:17 says: “If any man be in Christ he is a new creature (creation); old things are passed away, be- hold all things are become

new”. This not a moral make- over - All things are become new! In God you can start over and change your future.

PROMISE: I John 1:7 says: “If we walk in the light as He is in the light we have fellowship one with one another and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin”. The hymn writer said it well:

“Jesus Paid It All, All To Him I Owe

Sin Had Left A Crimson Stain

He Washed It White As Snow!”

There is another promise that we can embrace in faith: “Ask and you shall receive, seek and you will find...” (Matthew 7:7).

Regardless of how chaotic and crazy your life is...all that God offers is only a prayer away!
