Kemper unemployment rate drops 1.4 percent

Kemper County’s September unemployment rate dropped 1.7 percent when compared to the previous month, according to fig­ures from the Mississippi Depart­ment of Employment Security figures.

New traffic rules implemented

 The portion of Martin Luther King Drive lo­cated between the two main entrance drive­ways of Kemper County High School will now be closed between 2:40-3:40 p.m. each school day in an effort make it safer for the students to exit the campus.
