The Wildcats will be back in action Friday when they visit Raymond. The Rangers opened their season with a 40-13 victory over Amite County.

“This was a big win for us,” Coach Ray Ray Westerfield said. “This team didn’t get their first win until week six last year. It is definitely a confidence booster for us.

“Raymond is gomg to be a tough opponent. They kind of remind me of ourselves. Their quarter back is probably going to be their best athlete. They like to run him a lot. If we can contain him, we have a real good chance of winning the football game.”

The Wildcats were penalized six times for 65 yards while West Lowndes was penalized nine times for 75 yards.

“We had one long run called back,’ Westerfield said. “We are going to have to play mistake-free ball against Raymond.”
