There is a dark cloud hanging over Ecclesiastes 4. It is a very somber chapter. The Preacher, Solomon, is observing the world without God and the gospel, and he sees that there are some in the world and all that they can say is, "I wish I had never been born." Those words might come from a teenager without thinking when he doesn't get his way, but the world in which we live, the world in which Solomon lived, can be a very dark and bleak place without God and without Jesus.
