The Kemper Academy Rams return home in search of their first victory of the season Friday night when they play host to the Prentiss Christian Academy Saints in eight-man football action.

The Rams dropped to 0-2 last Friday when they fell 22-8 against Sharkey Issaquena in Rolling Fork. The Saints lost 55-`4 to Tensas Academy and dropped to 1-1.

Against SIA, the Rams scored their only points in the second quarter when Garron Dickson returned a punt 60 yards for a touchdown. Matthew Cordar scored the two point conversion and the Rams trailed 14-8 at the half.

Garrett Thomas was the leading tackler with 12 stops. Brice Mason was the leading rusher with 40 yards.

“We played well the first half,” coach Pete McCleskey said. “We had opportunities to score and we just weren’t able to cash in.”
