East Mississippi Community College’s scheduled Tuesday home basketball doubleheader against Northeast Mississippi Community College was postponed until Saturday due to wintry precipitation and possible hazardous road conditions throughout the state.

Saturday’s rescheduled MACJC North Division hoops twin bill between the home-standing EMCC Lions and the Northeast Tigers will tip off with a 1 p.m. women’s game followed by a 3 p.m. men’s contest at Keyes T. Currie Coliseum on the Scooba campus.

The East Mississippi basketball teams are 6-5 overall in women’s play and 8-5 in men’s action, including 1-1 marks in division play, after sweeping Coahoma last Thursday in Scooba.

The Lions won 83-79 behind 18 points from Dewayne Cox and 16 from Darrious Agnew.

In the women's contest, EMCC's Tyeisha Juhan followed her career-high, 35-point effort in last week's win at East Central with 16 first-half points against Coahoma on the way to a 20-point, 12-rebound effort in the Lady Lions' 90-63 win.

In earlier action the EMCC women beat East Central 72-65, while the men fell 99-92 despite 22 points from Cox and 20 from Cam Horton.
