FAMILY LAW
LEGAL CLINIC
There will be a family law legal clinic for self-represented litigants on June 7 for participants in Neshoba and Kemper counties at 9 a.m. at the Neshoba County Courthouse. Thee topics will be emancipation, guardianship, irreconcilable differences divorce, name change and simple wills. Participants must be prescreened to ensure they meet federal poverty guidelines. JOINT REVIVAL
BEGINS JUNE 17
Union Hill and Wahalak Baptist Church will have joint Revival services at Wahalak Baptist Church beginning Sunday, June 17, at 11 a.m. and Sunday evening through Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. nightly. John Vaughn will be the speaker, Travis Gregory music leader, with Ruby Bolen will play the piano. A meal will follow the Sunday morning service and a fellowship the Wednesday service. Please come and join us. Walt Tessier is pastor of both churches.

MEETING SET
The Porterville Consolidated School Reunion Committee will have their next meeting Saturday, June 23, at the "Community Center" on "Old Rock Road", Porterville, Ms beginning at 1p.m. as we continue to prepare for our reunion and picnic Aug. 24-25, 2018 at the "Boys And Girl Club", Meridian,Ms. We are asking that all reunion fees be paid by the end of June and everyone whoever attended the old school even for a short while to attend. New Beginning UMC 1013 Hwy 1013, Porterville will have their "Men Day Program" June 10 beginning at 1:30 p.m. Our theme will be "Men of Distinction" and the speaker will be Rev. Odell Hopkin, pastor of West Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Meridian, Ms. A meal will be served after the program. Our pastor is Rev. Charlotte Malone. We are asking all men to wear black and white. Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church will host its 1st annual Hat Day program on June 10. The guest speaker for the occasion will be the Reverend Kenneth Hill. The program will start at 2: 30 p.m. All women are encouraged to wear the hat of their choosing. However, hats are not a requirement.

Kemper County is a participant in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Project proving a free book mailed monthly to the child in the child’s name from birth until the child reaches the age of five. This project is sponsored by the United Way of East Mississippi and the North American Coal Company, Inc in Kemper County. To enroll your child on the website enter  www.imaginationlibrary.com and select the “PARENT” tab located at the top of the web page. Registration cards may also be picked up at the Kemper County Library or the Kemper County Economic Development Authority office during normal business hours.
