FORESTRY MEETING

BENEFIT PROGRAM AT

PLEASANT GROVE

There will be a Benefit Program on behalf of Kira Chamberlin who has a rare form of cancer called Ewing Sarcoma. She was diagnosed in December and has been going through intense treatments - tests, hospital stays and-chemotherapy.  The program will be held at The Pleasant Grove M.B. Church in DeKalb on Saturday at 5 p.m. Kira is the granddaughter of Irma Chamberlin who sings with the Baylor Family Gospel Singers. Please join us in the Anniversary celebration for our Pastor James Rice and his family as we celebrate 21 years of service as Pastor and First Lady at Green Chapel Baptist Church. Kemper County Relay for Life and EMCC Jazz Band will present “Jazz it Up for Relay” on Friday, March 31, at 6:30 p.m. on the EMCC Scooba Campus in the President’s Board Room located in the Student Union Building.  The Blues Brothers don’t have anything on this energetic, dynamic group of musicians.  They can play and sing.  So get a little dressed up and come on out on Friday night March 31 for some delicious food and dynamic entertainment.  Tickets are $25.00 each, $40.00 per couple or $250.00 for a table.  You won’t have to leave Kemper County for a fun filled Friday.  For more information call 601-479-9131.  Support a worthy cause and have a good time while doing it.

Kemper County is a participant in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Project proving a free book mailed monthly to the child in the child’s name from birth until the child reaches the age of five. This project is sponsored by the United Way of East Mississippi and the North American Coal Company, Inc in Kemper County.
